New site almost ready

Spacerock.com Reloaded is almost ready to go!  I've been working on it early mornings, weekends and evenings, and am just at the very last feature - wrapping it up to go live.  The goal was to get the major pages done, then add some bells and whistles afterwards.

It had been bugging me for a while - the look of this site.  What is this site anyway?  Does anyone ever look at it?  Probably not.  I look at it; it's my playground and I like to blow it up and rebuild it at will - I learn from it.  So, I decided to revamp it....

Christmas Pudding

Christmas pudding.  The annoying refrains of a Christmas song "Now bring us some figgy pudding....and bring it right here!" and the famous part in Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" where the Cratchit family is anticipating their pudding...I wanted to get it made, and said I made it on Labor Day.  Couldn't get all of the ingredients until LATE on Labor Day - since it needs to steam for 6 hours, so the Day After Labor Day, it is.

I had mentioned that we lost Brutus on August 21st...he was fading and withering away, so we had to make The Decision.  That is, perhaps, the worst decision any pet guardian faces.  The time when it is obvious that the animal is no longer happy, but is miserable.  It was time to make that difficult decision.

The New Visitor

We had to say goodbye to Brutus on August 21st.  He was going downhill fast and his quality of life was pretty bad.  This left Augustus out in the back yard, alone.  Yesterday, a young, gray tabby appeared in our back yard and Augustus was so happy to see "another one of those furry things" that he approached the kitty happily.  Kitty was perplexed...had never seen such a 'big bug.'

So I had my 2 week follow up yesterday and everything is healing nicely.  I was put into a boot (Das Boot) and I have to wear it ALL THE TIME (even while sleeping) and take it off about 3x a day to do flex exercises.  I have asked if I could treadle on my spinning wheel...I have a spacer thing for my other foot so I'm not uneven - which would make my back a mess!

Everything went well; my surgeon didn't find anything unexpected.  Surgery was an hour and I was home a little after 3 - hungry!

Achilles Debridement

Sounds like some wedding ceremony snafu...The wedding was canceled when debridement was evident...my right achilles tendon has been bothering me for nearly a year and just keeps getting worse.  I threw in the towel finally and decided to get this done.  Today is the day. I'm anxious about the surgery - not the procedure itself, but the whole being knocked out thing...

Stand up Paddleboarding

I first tried a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) about 3 years ago and couldn't get up.  I tried since, same results.  Couldn't get up.

I worked every day for 8 weeks at the Declutter 2023 project.  It worked!  I was able to transform my cluttered home to a nice place to live with SPACE!  I am not finished; Wave 2 is coming.
